I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
